How to unbox 500+ unique experiences

Upplevelse.com offers a huge selection of experiences, everything from skydiving to alpaca petting. Since an experience isn’t a physical product, but rather an emotional one, we got the challenge to put all of this into a complete packaging concept.

Our solution was to focus on feelings and expressions, while keeping a clean yet personal design throughout the unboxing experience.

The wrapping paper is covered in hand-written messages from people, sharing their personal thoughts and feelings they had during their experience.

In this case, there were two customers to design for; firstly, the person receiving the gift and secondly, the person who bought it. The second one is commonly forgotten about when creating e-com packaging, so we wanted them to feel included by making sure the delivery note and packing slip was nicely designed as well. 

We created a sleek, sustainable design system which focused on tactile textures and contrasts. All materials and printing techniques were chosen for recycling purposes. The construction is smaller and more light-weight than the previous design, making it easier to transport.
